About me

A young entrepreneur building a trusted local detailing business.

I’m a young entrepreneur who has recently started Kernow Detail Co. with the aim of building a reliable, professional mobile detailing service across North Cornwall. I’m putting a lot of effort into growing the business properly from the beginning, with honest pricing, clear communication and results I can be proud to put my name to.

Being mobile means I can bring the service directly to customers’ homes and workplaces, saving them the journey and the need to wait around elsewhere. I’m focused on doing the small things properly: turning up when agreed, treating every vehicle with care and never adding unexpected work without discussing it first.

Whether it is a family car, a surf vehicle, a work van or part of a small fleet, the aim is to provide a friendly local service that customers trust and feel comfortable booking again.

Coverage & site requirements

Mobile across North Cornwall.

For a normal mobile appointment, the customer must provide access to a working outdoor water tap and a safe mains electricity socket close enough to the vehicle for the equipment to be used. Please mention any access problem before accepting the quote.

Camelford, Wadebridge, Bude, Padstow, Bodmin, Tintagel and nearby areas.

Required at the appointment
  • Working outdoor water tap
  • Safe mains electricity socket
  • Enough safe space around the vehicle

Terms & conditions

What to expect when you book with us.

These terms apply to every booking. They cover honest expectations around weather, access, results and payment so there are no surprises on the day.

Booking & quotes

Quotes are based on the vehicle type, service requested and the photos or description provided. Prices are starting prices and may be adjusted if the vehicle's actual size or condition differs from what was described, and any change will be agreed before work begins.

Weather

This is a mobile, outdoor service, so work depends on safe and suitable weather. Heavy rain, storms, high winds, ice or freezing temperatures can affect results and safety, so appointments may be rescheduled at short notice in these conditions. Where possible, alternative arrangements such as a covered space or a revised time will be offered, and no fee is charged for a weather-related reschedule.

Site access

A working outdoor water tap, a safe mains electricity socket and enough safe space around the vehicle must be available at the appointment location. Any access problem should be mentioned before the quote is accepted. If access isn't available on arrival, the appointment may need to be rearranged and a call-out fee may apply.

Results and limitations

Every reasonable effort is made to improve the vehicle safely, but complete removal of every stain, odour, mark or contaminant cannot be guaranteed. Results depend on the material, how long the problem has been present, previous cleaning attempts and any permanent damage already caused.

  • Permanent dye transfer, bleaching, burns, tears, cracking and worn trim may remain.
  • Deep stains, embedded pet hair, sand and long-standing odours may only be reduced rather than fully removed.
  • Scratches, stone chips, corrosion, oxidation and damaged paint are not repaired by a standard valet.
  • Mould, bodily fluids, hazardous waste or unsafe contamination may require specialist treatment or be declined.
  • Pre-existing loose trim, damaged electrics, weak stitching or fragile surfaces should be disclosed before work begins.

Vehicle condition & valuables

Please remove cash, valuables and personal items before the appointment. Any pre-existing damage, fragile trim or known faults should be pointed out beforehand. If unexpected damage, contamination or extra work is discovered once underway, the job may be paused and any change in price or scope will be discussed before continuing.

Payment

Payment is due on completion of the work unless otherwise agreed in writing. Accepted payment methods are confirmed at the time of booking. Maintenance plan pricing applies only while a plan remains active.

Cancellations & rescheduling

At least 24 hours' notice is appreciated for cancelling or rescheduling a booking. Repeated late cancellations or no-shows may be asked to pay a fee before a future booking is confirmed.

Liability & insurance

Work is carried out with reasonable care using professional products and equipment, and the business holds public liability insurance. Liability isn't accepted for pre-existing damage, wear and tear, or damage to poorly fitted, aftermarket or already-compromised parts and surfaces that standard care could not reasonably have avoided.

Right to decline work

Work may be declined or stopped where the vehicle presents a health or safety risk, where the site is unsafe or inaccessible, or where behaviour towards the technician is abusive or threatening.
